Southern Sort's Hands-On Decluttering & Organizing Process
Phase 1: The Consultation
Before beginning any session, I conduct a complimentary in-home consultation. During the consultation, I get to know your specific goals and painpoints, measure the space as needed, and take pictures to help plan for the 1st session.
Phase 2: The 1st Session
The 1st session for any major decluttering and organizing project is focused on how to edit down the items in the space. Think overstuffed closet or kitchen cabinets where nothing can be found. This is when we really focus on the items in your home that you love versus the items that never get used.
Yes, each project is different... But overall the main focus of the 1st session is to declutter with a little bit of organization mixed into the process. We will work together to make decisions about what to keep, donate, or trash.
As part of Southern Sort's Decluttering & Organizing Service, I take donations for you at the end of each session. No more dealing with donations riding around in your car or sitting in the garage for weeks.
Phase 3: The Next Session(s)
Depending on the size of the project, we will use the next sessions to continue decluttering but really begin to organize the space - Organizing product may be purchased and used based on the budget of the client.
My goal is to use organizing product the client already has on hand but also incorporate more functional organizing solutions to really enhance the organization of the space.
Phase 4: Maintenance & Relax
Once the sessions are complete in your home, you are able to sit back and relax in your newly decluttered and organized space!
Your home will be easy to maintain, items will be easy to access, and you (and your family) knows where to replace/find anything that was once before crammed into a packed closet, kitchen cabinet, or garage.
